Whether it is water across the floor at 4am or a device test you have been putting off since autumn, the same licensed crew handles it, the number is fixed in advance, and the workmanship carries a lifetime warranty.
Burst pipes, failed flexi hoses and sewage backing up. Answered 24 hours across Wahroonga, and we will get the water shut off before anybody leaves.
Emergency call-outsGas, electric, heat pump and solar. Sydney water is soft, so what finishes a tank here is a spent anode or a dead element, and both are frequently repairs.
Hot water repairsCooktops, heaters and gas lines fitted, tested and certified in one visit, with the compliance certificate handed over on the day.
Licensed gas fittingDripping taps, concealed leaks and burst pipes traced with equipment, then repaired properly rather than patched to get through a season.
Burst pipes & leak repairsToilets, vanities and tapware fitted in a single visit, including in bathrooms whose original rough-in was set out for fittings nobody makes any more.
Book a fit-offBlocked or slow, cleared and filmed, with the footage handed over whether it shows a defect or a perfectly sound pipe. Start with our guide to what to try on a blocked toilet.
Drain clearingPutting real numbers on a public page is unusual in this trade. We do it so that every quote you are shown, ours included, has something to be measured against. That covers the van at the door and the trade's hourly rate. Job-by-job figures sit on each service page.
No charge at all when the booking came through this page. Arrive by another route and you meet the standard Sydney attendance fee, typically at the upper end.
The nine-to-five market rate, and the quiet foundation of most quotes you will be handed. It is not how we price, and the note below explains that.
The premium the trade attaches to evenings, weekends and public holidays. We attach none. The figure was locked before the van moved.
A single settled number for making a burst safe, freeing a line or shutting down a gas fault, in place of a meter that starts running at the kerb.
Committed to writing before a tool is unpacked. If what we find changes the job, everything halts until you approve the revised number.
Cards two and three are the market's rates, not ours. They are here purely for contrast. When you buy an hour you are buying somebody's time, which is not the same as buying an answer, and it is no help at all at the moment you have to commit. We price the work rather than the hours, so what you approve is what you settle. And where the honest first step is an assessment rather than an installation, that is quoted as its own small job instead of being folded into something larger. Where you already know what you need, the real figures live on the blocked drains, pipe relining, burst pipes and leaks, hot water and gas fitting pages.
Anyone can call themselves a plumber. A licensed one carries a NSW licence number, real insurance, and the legal accountability that comes with both, so when a gas job is certified or a repair signed off, it actually means something.
Licensed in NSW and fully insured, on these streets week after week. Every job is carried out to the Australian Standards and carries a written lifetime warranty on the workmanship.

Had irrigation put in with the garden? Ask who fitted the backflow device. If nobody can answer that, it is worth an hour of somebody's time. Meet the crew behind every Wahroonga callout.

Wahroonga was laid out as large villa allotments after the North Shore railway reached here in 1890, and those garden blocks are exactly the properties that end up with automatic irrigation and a pool top up line. Both of those are permanent connections to your drinking water rather than a hose you put away, and every permanent connection needs a one-way street. That device is called backflow prevention, and on a great many properties around here nobody has ever asked whether there is one. Across the upper North Shore, a licensed local plumber is only minutes away, same-day and 24/7 for genuine emergencies.

Still have a question?
Ask around Sydney and you will hear $100 to $150 an hour. It is a real number and it is useless for planning, because it says nothing about how long your particular job runs. We commit to one figure for the entire piece of work in advance instead.
Genuine emergencies get an under-an-hour target, right across Wahroonga and the upper North Shore streets around it, on any day and at any hour.
Should an attendance or after-hours charge apply, the number is said aloud on the phone before we move. Booked from this page, there is no such charge.
NSW Licence 368473C. The Fair Trading register confirms it in about a minute, and that minute is worth spending on anybody you let onto the property. Unlicensed plumbing is illegal in NSW and voids a home insurance claim. Ours is printed on every quote we issue.
Soft water is the answer. Where the supply is hard, a tank fills with scale and that ends it. Sydney's is not like that. Here the sacrificial anode is consumed protecting the steel and the tank begins corroding once it is gone, or an element burns out. Neither is automatically a replacement.
Backflow is water travelling the wrong way: out of a property and back into the drinking water supply. It happens when the pressure relationship reverses, which it does when a main is shut down for repair or a hydrant nearby draws hard. Anything permanently joined to your drinking supply is a potential path, and on properties like these the usual ones are automatic irrigation and a swimming pool top up line. A hose you put away is not the problem. A permanent connection sitting in a garden bed is.
The railway reached here in 1890 and the suburb was laid out afterwards as large villa allotments. What that means practically today is gardens: mature, substantial, and in a great many cases watered by an automatic system that was installed as part of the landscaping rather than as part of a plumbing job. That is the gap. Irrigation gets treated as garden work, and the question of what protects the drinking supply from it never comes up.
Look, or ask us to. Which device a property needs depends on an assessment of the hazard: a dual check valve covers low hazard, a double check valve covers medium, and a reduced pressure zone device covers high. The testable ones are registered and require testing every year by an accredited backflow prevention plumber. Plenty of people own one without knowing it, which means the annual test quietly falls due and stays that way. A system that injects fertiliser into the line is a different assessment again.
The whole Wahroonga LGA and every suburb around it: Asquith, Normanhurst, North Wahroonga, Waitara, Warrawee, Asquith, Normanhurst, Normanhurst and more.
Nothing fills the diary like hot water. Around here that means a lot of electric storage in the older houses, gas wherever a property was connected for it, and continuous flow anywhere a cylinder had to give up its floor space. These are the makes. Repairing and replacing hot water systems is most of what we do here, and we are straight about what each job costs and the age at which a unit stops being worth fixing.

We service and replace these systems as an independent licensed plumber. We are not an agent for, or endorsed by, any of these manufacturers.
Put a number in and a plumber calls you back. During business hours that is normally a few minutes.
